FWISD HIGH SCHOOL HONOR CHOIR RULES AND REGULATIONS

MEMBERSHIP
The FWISD Honor Choir will consist of approximately 100 members with 25 singers in each of the following voice classifications: Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass.

ELIGIBILITY
• Students who successfully pass the TMEA Region 7 “District” Audition will automatically be
considered as a member of the FWISD Honor Choir.
• Each FWISD High School with a choral program must send at least one, student to the
High School Honor Choir audition.
• Additional members (if needed) will be auditioned at each campus by the Director of Choral and
General Music. A CD piano accompaniment of the audition pieces for the FWISD High School Honor
Chorus will be provided prior to auditions.
• If no chorus class is offered at a High school, information concerning the FWISD Honor Choir will be made available to interested students through the Principal.
Additional Information:
• All Honor Choir members and alternates will attend ALL the rehearsals (the total time) and
performances and concert.
• Each section leader (SATB) will be assigned to keep attendance records for rehearsals and
performances.
